CC: Andrew, what is your occupation?
Andrew: I do auto and motorcycle body and paint.
CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Andrew: Yes. I also enjoy hot rods, blues music, and my grandkids.
CC: Why do you ride?
Andrew: The freedom I feel on a bike versus an automobile, and the wind in my face.
CC: How long have you been riding?
Andrew: I started riding when I was 10, so it’s been a while.
CC: What was your first bike?
Andrew: My first bike was a 1975 Hodaka Super Rat.
CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Andrew: I’ve owned eight or nine motorcycles.
CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Andrew: I currently have just two. This one, and a chromed out 1989 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom.
CC: What do you like most about your custom chopper?
Andrew: Probably how it sounds when you hammer it. It’s got that big inch thundering roar.
CC: What is your dream bike?
Andrew: I can’t say. I have one, and I have lots of ideas for building another one.
CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Andrew: It’s hard to say.
CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?
Andrew: Waking up in ICU 21 days after being hit by a van. It cost me three months in the hospital and my left leg.
CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite?
Andrew: Sturgis and BBB in Fayetteville, Arkansas. My favorite is probably Sturgis because of the history and riding in the Badlands. That scenery is awesome!
CC: How many tattoos do you have?
Andrew: I have just one. It’s the #13, which is behind my left ear. It’s my lucky number.
CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Andrew: It doesn’t really matter as long as it’s not raining.
CC: Who is your closest riding buddy?
Andrew: My son Zach, and our buddies Dominic and Troy.
CC: Thanks for the interview Andrew, and thank you for letting us shoot your bike for this month’s cover.
