Scott Wilson is the owner of our October 2011 cover bike. His 2005 Wild West Dragoon was selected as the winning bike at our Cover Bike Search at The Jobsite Bar in Olathe, Kansas.
Scott is from Grandview, Missouri, and we had the opportunity to gather more information about him and his 2005 Wild West Dragoon. We photographed cover model search winner Amy, on his bike for this month’s cover.

CC: Scott, what is your occupation?
Scott: I’m a plumber with The Plumbing Pros. Give us a call!

CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Scott: Yes, I belong to the Duck Club, and I also enjoy fishing, old cars, and anything to do with the outdoors.

CC: Why do you ride?
Scott: To relax and have fun.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Scott: I’ve been riding about 25 years.

CC: What was your first bike?
Scott: It was a 350 Big Horn.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Scott: Ten.
CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Scott: My 2005 Wild West Dragoon and a 1998 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.

CC: What do you like most about your Dragoon?
Scott: It’s fun to ride, and something different.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Scott: A Wild West Gunfire…with Shania Twain on the back!

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Scott: I was riding somewhere in the Rocky Mountains about 10 p.m. at night in a downpour. We were soaked to the bone and frozen. We ride through a pass, the rain stopped, and the temperature rose about 20 degrees. We were riding along this lake for about 30 minutes when a calm came over all of us and the scenery was something I will always remember.

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?
Scott: Riding in the Smokey Mountains when the starter went out on my Fat Boy. The good things is that the Harley dealers down there stay open seven days a week and provide top-notch service!

CC: Which motorcycle rallies and events have you attended, and which is your favorite?
Scott: Sturgis and Bikes Blues & BBQ. I like Bikes, Blues & BBQ the most because it’s closer to home, it’s only a four day rally, and it’s easier on the liver.

CC: What is your favorite bike night location?
Scott: The Jobsite Bar and FUEL. What happened to Frankie D’s? .

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Scott: I always have a good time either way. You always meet new people.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Scott: Kathleen Bailey, Keith Hauber, Mary Melody (real name), Mike Irick, and my good old country buddy Bruce Lavender. Special shout out to Dyno Mike. Thanks!
CC: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Scott: I look really good naked. Shania…call me!

CC: A little too much information there on that last question Scott, but thanks for the interview. We look forward to shooting your bike for one of our upcoming covers.
