They had a lot of great supporters and had a lot of interest shown in the club, they also had a lot of compliments on what all they did to the new Clubhouse. It was many months of blood, sweat & tears, but all well worth it....a labor of love. "It was just a win win to us" said member Nancy McMurrey.
. Along with some of the activities going on that day, was a 50/50 draw and the lucky winner of that was, Ms Susan Fendley and she donated half of her winnings back to the Club; such a Sweet Sister.
“The way the Club started Bud White approached Jimmie D Buzbee and Mark Buzbee and some of the other guys in the club who were riding in Charity Rides about the idea of forming a club Charity Riders as a MC or RC, a meeting was then set up with another founder Brad Nicholas, at that time we discussed the pros and cons of joining the ALCOC, so hence the club was formed with nine original members. We have grown now with 29 members (2 prospects and 4 supporters) our Mission statement is we ride to help those in need( Cancer, Loss of Income due to accidents, all Children with disabilities ETC.) CRRC is a 501C3 nonprofit Club. The first nine members were, Bud White-President, Brad Nichols-Vice President, Derrick Cain-Road Captain, Jimmie Buzbee-Sgt. at arms, Mark Buzbee-Enforcer, Jerald Spearman-Tailgunner, Curtis Johnson-Secretary, DeeAnn White-Treasurer, Dennis Bone, Alan Buzbee, and Sonny Churchwell. Mark Duncan has since taken over as Road Captain and Tina Weems Nicholas has come on board as the Chaplain." says Nancy McMurrey.
Everyone seemed to enjoy them selves at the opening and all are looking forward to future endeavors, they had every reason to be very proud of their Club and their first event there.
