"Where's Walter?" The Last Known Harley-Davidson Forecar on Tour

Written by  August 1, 2014

SLINGER, WIS. (July 28, 2014) - The last known Harley-Davidson Forecar in existence, affectionately named "Walter," is on tour making impromptu appearances in his birthplace of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This very rare 1913 motorcycle has been delighting motorcycle enthusiasts with its arrivals at motorcycle events and generating the question from fans of "Where's Walter?" and "where will he turn up next?"

Walter's owner is currently selling the Forecar after over 90 years of ownership by his family.  The search is on for a new caretaker of this remarkable historical motorcycle artifact.  Without the knowledge of where Walter's new home may eventually be, it was decided to share this unique motorcycle with as many motorcycle enthusiasts at as many appearances as possible.  In addition, a documentary is currently in production to record Walter's intriguing history.

The Missing Link: Discovery of a Centennial Motorcycledocumentary is the true-life story of the one-hundred year journey of this very unique 1913 Harley-Davidson 9G Motorcycle Truck (more commonly known as a Forecar).  The documentary will explore Forecar history, the development of the Harley-Davidson "G" model Forecars and chronicle the history of this specific 9G Forecar affectionately known as "Walter."  This history will include the machine's early service in Milwaukee by a Harley-Davidson vendor, and through the combined 40 years of barn storage with 40 years of meticulous restoration.  The culmination of the documentary will reveal the forthcoming sale of this ever so rare machine to a new caretaker.  "To my knowledge, this has never been done before in a motorcycle-related documentary... it's the ultimate barn bike discovery story", comments independent producer James Cutting.  This 1913 Harley-Davidson 9G is the last known Harley-Davidson Forecar in existence.
