Our August 2010 cover bike is owned by Steve Bogue from Independence, Missouri. Steve's 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom earned this month's cover by taking first place at our Cycle Connections Cover Bike Search on Thursday, June 3, at Harley's & Horses Bar & Grill in Kansas City, Missouri.

During our photo shoot I asked Steve if I could also interview him for this month's issue and he was more than happy to agree.
CC: Steve, what is your occupation?
Steve: I’m in construction.

CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Steve: Yes, I like guns, target practice, grilling, hanging with family and friends and woodworking.

CC: Why do you ride?
Steve: To relax.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Steve: I've been riding for about 20 years.

CC: What was your first bike?
Steve: It was a 1976 Harley-Davidson Sportster.

Steve: Five.

Steve: A Captain America Bike.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Steve: Going to Sturgis for the first time.

CC: Do you have a least memorable riding experience?
Steve: No, I don't really have one. I just don't like getting caught in the rain.

CC: What motorcycle rallies and events have you attended, and which is your favorite?
Steve: Bikers for Babies, benefit rides for others, and flat track races. I like them all!

CC: Do you have a favorite bike night hangout?
Steve: Yes. Harley's & Horses and Frankie D's.

CC:Do you have any tattoos.
Steve: Yes, I have three.
CC:Who is your favorite tattoo artist?

Steve: Both.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Steve: The Skullbusters.

CC:Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Steve:: Yes. Bikers aren't all bad. We do a lot of rides and fundraisers to benefit others. Among us, you will never meet a stranger. We're a big extended family!

CC: Thanks for the interview Steve, and congratulations again on winning our August 2010 cover bike search!
