Our July 2016 cover bike is a 1996 Harley-Davidson Low Rider, which is owned by Mandy White from Kansas City, Missouri. Mandy is also this month's cover model, which makes this the first time we've had the opportunity to shoot one of our cover models on their own bike! Many of you may recognize Mandy from her March 2014 and May 2010 covers, or while working various Cycle Connections events around town. To find out more about Mandy’s bike, check out the specs and additional photos of her 1996 Harley-Davidson Low Rider. We also invite you to check out our behind the scenes photos and video taken at our July 2016 cover shoot!

Below is the information we gathered from Mandy, along with some additional information about her awesome bike:

CC: Mandy, what is your occupation?
Mandy: I work in logistics.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than riding?
Mandy: Yes, I also enjoy refinishing and repurposing old furniture.

CC: Any pets?
Mandy: Yes, I have three cats. I did have five because I was fostering two, and I now have my three. They’re awesome and I love them!

CC: Why do you ride?
Mandy: I grew up on bikes, and have always loved it!

CC: What was your first bike?
Mandy: My first bike was a 1985 Yamaha Maxim 750.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Mandy: I’ve owned 2 bikes.

CC: How many bikes do you own now?
Mandy: I have two. My 1996 Harley-Davidson Low Rider, and I also still have my Yamaha Maxim.

CC: What do you like most about your Low Rider?
Mandy: Everything! It’s my first Harley!

CC: What is your dream bike?
Mandy: My bike! I just want to raise the tank and make a few changes.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Mandy: Riding next to my man for the first time! He took it easy on me, which made me love him even more!

CC: Have you been to any motorcycle rallies or events lately?
Mandy: Yes. Lots of bike nights, including Blue Springs Harley-Davidson, Charley’s Roadhouse, and many others. It’s a lot of fun, and I think it’s going to be a great summer!

CC: Tell us about your tattoos?
Mandy: I have lots, everywhere! My Waylon portrait is my favorite.

CC: Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
Mandy: Shea at Old Souls Tattoo.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Mandy: By myself or with just a couple others. I worry too much about others.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Mandy: Dick and Jane.

CC: Thank you for the interview Mandy!
